JAMMU: Police on Sunday solved a theft case solved by arresting a woman and recovered stolen equipments worth Rs 5 lakh from her possession.
As per details, a complaint was lodged at Police Post Panjtirthi wherein complainant namely Vikrant Sharma told that a radio and some other equipments worth Rs 5 lakh were stolen from Common Transmission Infrastructure, Radio Station Panjtirthi.
On this, FIR No 48/2022 under section 380 of IPC was lodged in Police Station Pacca Danga and investigation started. After this, a team of Police Station Pacca Danga under supervision of SDPO North Sharad Kalu led by SHO Pacca Danga Inspr Raghubir Singh assisted by Incharge Police Post Panjtirthi Rahul Sharma, after putting in strenuous efforts, rounded up a woman namely Mohini, wife of Late Suraj Parkash, resident of Rajeev Nagar. On thorough questioning, she confessed her crime and on her disclosure stolen equipments worth Rs 5 lakh were recovered.
