The Supreme Court hearing on the case of Varanasi’s Gyanvapi mosque is under way. SC suggested trial of suit for worship inside mosque be handled by District Judge. District Judge will decide mosque committee’s plea that suit by Hindu party isn’t maintainable & till then interim order-protection of Shivling area, free access to Muslims for namaz-will continue, SC suggested.
