A structural overhaul of the J&K security apparatus to ensure that the best police personnel are identified, put through specialised training courses and posted as station house officers was among the key strategies discussed at a review meeting chaired by Union home minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Friday in the wake of recent “soft target” killings in the Valley.
