BSP’s Shah Alam alias Guddu Jamali, who finished third in the three-cornered fight in Azamgarh parliamentary bypoll, said he accepts his defeat and will continue to lay ground for the party for the coming 2024 general elections. Jamali polled more than 29% votes in the bypoll indicating the relevance of BSP and its revival in the mainstream politics of UP after a dismal show in the assembly polls.
