Presidential Election 2022: Prime minister Narendra Modi on Monday urged everyone to hold an open, productive debate in the monsoon session of the Parliament. Polling for the Presidential election also began on Monday in Parliament, and respective state assemblies to elect India’s new President and Vice President. Droupadi Murmu of the NDA and Yashwant Sinha, backed by the opposition are the two candidates in this Presidential election. Meanwhile, the leaders of various opposition parties will raise the issues of price rise, ‘Agnipath’ scheme as well as the alleged misuse of investigative agencies in the Monsoon Session today.
