The Cabinet on Wednesday approved Rs 10,000 crore for redevelopment of three major railway stations – New Delhi, Ahmedabad and Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus – by awarding contracts based on government funding, abandoning the earlier plan to modernise through the public private partnership route.
