During the inaugural session of the 81st annual session of Indian Road Congress (IRC) that took place at Indira Gandhi Pratisthan of Lucknow on Saturday, Union minister for road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari announced projects worth Rs 8,000 crore for Uttar Pradesh. He said that the roads of Uttar Pradesh have to be made better than the United States before 2024. “For this, the Modi government is going to approve Rs 5 lakh crore for UP in the coming days,” he said.
