A batch of 12 cheetahs will be flown to the country from South Africa next month. The translocation of additional 12 big cats will take the total number of re-introduced cheetahs in India to 20. Eight cheetahs – five female and three male – were brought in from Namibia to Kuno National Park (KNP) in Madhya Prashesh in September 2022.
