A fresh spell of heavy snowfall in upper reaches of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday and Friday has blocked several roads, including highways, disrupted water supply schemes and plunged high-altitude areas of the state into darkness, even as an avalanche struck near a village in Pangi valley of Chamba district.
