JAMMU: The menace of terrorism seems to have taken full circle with terrorists storming Police Headquarters in Karachi, the commercial capital of Pakistan, proving right the globally accepted truth that terror is a monster which ultimately eats up the vitals of its mentor.
Known as ‘Mother of Terrorism, across the world, Pakistan this evening tasted the bitter pill, it has been exporting to civilized nations, especially its neighbouring country India for over three decades. Having perpetrated Parliament attack in 2001, taking the lives of nine security personnel including a gardner, gruesome terror attacks in Mumbai 26/11 in 2008, claiming nearly 175 innocent lives and similar other horrendous terror crimes in Uri, Pulwama and almost in every area of the Kashmir Valley for over three decades, the rogue nation in the backyards is now struggling to save itself from the Jihadi monster. As if the economic conditions of the crumbling Pakistan were not enough, the rogue-state is at the threshold of breaking. This is just a matter of time.
Mother of Terrorists Facing Terror
According to reports emanating from Karachi, Terrorists attack police chief’s office in Pakistan’s Karachi city unidentified heavily-armed terrorist this evening stormed the Karachi Police chief’s office in Pakistan’s most populous city, leading to heavy firing between paramilitary rangers, police and the attackers, the latest brazen assault on security forces amid an uptick in terror attacks across the country.
A spokesperson of the Karachi Police confirmed in a statement that the Karachi police chief’s head office had come under attack.
“Firing is going on,” the statement said.
Karachi Police chief Javed Odho also confirmed in a tweet his office was under attack but said the security forces had responded strongly.
According to sources, the number of terrorists involved in the attack is not confirmed.
Mumbai versus Karachi
Not drawing comparison between the 2008 Mumbai Terror Mayhem and the ongoing Karchi Siege, the Mother of Terrorism Pakistan remained, and continues to remain, in denial mode about its involvement in 26/11, notwithstanding the live Jihadi Ajmal Kasab making confession about the ISI role.
What alibi will Pakistan give now to the Jihadis who are inside the police headquarters. Kasab was Pakistani and so are the terrorists presently holding the police chief’s office. Reportedly they are the mercenaries of Tareeke Taliban.
Both sets of terrorists carry same DNA and are from the same Jihdi mindset. Will Pakistan remain in the denial mode again this point of time.
The terrorists first threw half a dozen hand grenades into the main compound of the Karachi Police Chief’s office building and then entered the premises.
“Heavy firing is going on between paramilitary rangers, police and the attackers. All mobile vans in the district and area have been summoned urgently to the spot to surround the attackers,” one police source said.
The Karachi Police Chief’s office is located near the main artery road of Karachi which goes from downtown to the airport.
No group has so far claimed the attack.
Pakistan has witnessed a surge in terror attacks since November when Pakistani Taliban ended a months’ long cease-fire with the government.
Last month, a Taliban suicide bomber blew himself up in a mosque packed with worshippers during afternoon prayers in the high-security zone in Pakistan’s restive northwestern Peshawar city, killing over 100 people, mostly policemen.
