More than a week after gangster-politician Atiq Ahmad was shot dead in cold blood by three men, police said on Monday that they had found bloodstains on the floors of a partially demolished office building owned by the murdered man in the city’s Karbala area. Police also recovered a broken window mirror, a long cotton sheet resembling a saree, and a small knife, both bloodstained, from this house.
