Manipur’s tribal Kuki-Zomi-Hmar-Zo community celebrated Independence Day by screening Bollywood blockbusters at a makeshift open-air theatre in Churachandpur on Tuesday, breaking the shackles of a ban on Hindi movies clamped by an armed outfit 23 years ago to stall what it then called “the process of Indianisation”.
