The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has launched the ‘BIS Care App’ to help gold buyers verify the purity of their jewellery. The app allows users to track all ISI and hallmark-certified gold and silver jewellery in real time. It is available for both Android and iPhone users and has received a 4-star rating on both app stores. Users can check the authenticity of jewellery by entering the licence number or HUID number. The app also provides information on Indian standards and licenses.
