A 27-year-old East Delhi resident suffering from dengue and with a low platelet count had his wedding at Max Vaishali hospital. Avinash Kumar fell ill just four days before his wedding and was diagnosed with dengue. His platelet count had dipped to just 10,000. The hospital administration agreed to the request to allow the vows to be taken there, and the couple got married in the hospital with 10 family members present. Avinash’s platelet count is currently over 40,000 and he is responding well.
