The registration of Centre for Policy Research under the FCRA was was cancelled last week due to numerous violations of Act. Among these violations, the most significant is “hurting of India’s economic interests.” The MHA sources stated that this was attributed to purported misutilization of foreign funds for organizing protests and supporting non-FCRA entities in legal battles against development projects.
