The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has officially established the Centre’s ‘fact check unit’ in accordance with IT rules, as announced by the Press Information Bureau. This development follows a recent decision by the Bombay High Court to not prevent the Centre from setting up the FCU, a matter now under scrutiny by the Supreme Court.
