JAMMU, Nov 1: Mission Shakti District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Jammu, Department of Social Welfare organised an awareness campaign in village Deora, Pargwal with an aim to spread awareness among women and community members about various women-centric welfare schemes and empowerment initiatives being implemented by the Government.
The campaign witnessed active participation from local women, Anganwadi workers and community representatives.
Speaking on the occasion, the District Mission Coordinator Mission Shakti Shagun Manchanda highlighted the importance of empowering women at the grassroots level and ensuring that the benefits of Government schemes reach every deserving woman, especially those residing in border and rural areas.
She also emphasised on the role of women in building a progressive, inclusive, and resilient society. Gender Specialist DHEW Khushboo Kapte sensitised the participants on various ongoing govt schemes and services followed by an interactive session that encouraged participants to voice their concerns and seek guidance on issues related to various schemes.
