JAMMU, Nov 1: Promising left-arm fast bowler Solib Tariq has been selected for Team-D in the prestigious U-19 Men’s Challenger Trophy, to be held in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh from November 4 to 12. He has been directed to report at the venue by November 2.
Tariq, representing the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), has impressed with his pace, control and ability to swing the ball both ways. In five matches this season, he claimed 11 wickets, including two four-wicket hauls against Mumbai and Puducherry, along with key breakthroughs versus Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and Tamil Nadu.
Known not only for his bowling but also for his fielding skills and lower-order batting, Tariq has emerged as one of the most exciting young talents from the region.
