UDHAMPUR, Nov 01:Udhampur Police has attached immovable and movable property worth Rs 80 lakh (approximately) belonging to two drug peddlers.
The attached property, including two residential houses and three vehicles, belong to accused Nazakat Hussain, son of Allah Din of Ward No.10, Jhulas, Poonch and Mukhtar Ahmed, son of Rashid Mohd of Karmara, Poonch under Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act.
During investigation in FIR No. 292/2025 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act, 111 BNS of Police Station Udhampur, it was revealed that the accused had acquired multiple assets from proceeds of narco trade.
The attached properties include one residential house on land Khasra No. 1322 at Village Jhulas and three vehicles, including one JCB – JK12B-0553, two Alto Car numbers JK12B-8765, JK12B-1664, belonging to Nazakat Hussain.
Besides, one residential house at Village Karmara belonging to Mukhtar Ahmed was attached.
The Investigating Officer having reasons to believe that these assets were acquired from proceeds of narcotics trafficking, attached the same under due provisions of law.
It is pertinent to mention that Udhampur Police has attached property worth Rs 9.10 Crore in NDPS-related cases during the current year.
