The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the merger of Vistara into Air India. The Tata Group plans to create a full-service carrier by merging Vistara and AI, and a low-cost carrier by merging AirAsia India into AI Express. Singapore Airlines, which owns 49% of Vistara, will have a 25.1% stake in the new Air India.
