SAMBA: In order to promote sports and inculcate spirit of sportsmanship amongst the youth of the area, Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur organized a T20 Cricket match between local teams in PTTI Parade Ground on Saturday.
SSP Khalil Ahmed Poswal, Principal PTTI Vijaypur tossed the coin.
After winning the toss by Utkarsh Slathia, Captain Gurha Slathia Cricket Club decided to bat first and his team scored 110 runs.
The bowlers of Gurha Slathia Cricket Club also bowled good and restricted Baba Hassal Dev Cricket Club Gurha Slathia to 76 runs.
Gurha Slathia Cricket Club displayed an outstanding show with both bat as well as ball and dominated the overall play by winning the game with 34 runs.
A winning team was felicitated with trophy. Sanatan Singh and Joginder Singh Slathia were Umpires during the match who were honoured with mementos.
Principal PTTI Vijaypur congratulated the winning team and highlighted the importance of sports in the overall development of an individual.
He further added that the objective of organizing cricket match was to get the cricket players of the area to come forward, expose their potential and move forward towards their cricketing career.
Principal also thanked all the players and organising Committee members including Rajinder Singh Rahi, Vice Principal, Sajjad Ahmed Khan, Dy.SP (Indoor), Anil Sagar (RI/CDI), Inspr. Anil Kumar, Inspr.(T) S.P. Singh, SI Kapil Raina and others for their whole heartedly efforts for organizing the event. Inspr.(S) Manoj Bali was commentator during the match.
