SRINAGAR, Feb 9: The University of Kashmir will hold its 21st convocation on February 26, with Vice President of India C. P. Radhakrishnan expected to attend as the chief guest.
A senior University official said Radhakrishnan will grace the occasion, marking his first official visit to Jammu and Kashmir since assuming office. He is scheduled to deliver the convocation address at 11 a.m. at the Convocation Complex on the university’s Hazratbal campus in Srinagar.

Preparations for the annual academic event are underway, with the university coordinating with the civil administration and security agencies to ensure the smooth conduct of the ceremony, he added.
The convocation will see degrees conferred on students who have successfully completed their academic programmes. Medals and awards will also be presented to meritorious candidates for outstanding academic performance.
The official said detailed logistical arrangements, including seating, security, traffic regulation and hospitality, are being planned in view of the high-profile visit.
