Volleyball tourney concludes in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, Mar 10: The final match of a Volleyball Tournament organized under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) was held today by 137 Battalion of CRPF in coordination with the Volleyball Association Udhampur at SIKS Government Higher Secondary School, Udhampur.
MLA Udhampur West Pawan Kumar Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion. Among those present were SHO Udhampur Abhijeet Sirohi, Commandant of 137 Bn CRPF M.K. Sicon, Second-in-Command Kartar Singh, Deputy Commandants R.L. Meena and Suresh, Deputy Director SRTC Udhampur Kripal Singh, Principal SIKS Government Higher Secondary School Manoj Kumar Jad and President Volleyball Association Udhampur Ashok Padha. Several officials from the sports department, CRPF personnel, players, media representatives and local residents were also present.
The final match was played between Barta Volleyball Club and Roun Domail Volleyball Club. The match witnessed energetic rallies, impressive teamwork and enthusiastic participation from players, drawing cheers from spectators.
During the tournament, sports equipment and other required materials were provided and used for smooth conduct of the event. Local coaches and CRPF personnel also guided participating youth on fitness, discipline and the importance of teamwork in sports.
They encouraged young participants to adopt healthy lifestyles, improve physical strength and build confidence through sports activities. Local residents expressed hope that similar sports events would continue in the future as such initiatives provide a positive platform for local youth.
