DDC Rajouri reviews progress under Vibrant Village Programme-II

RAJOURI, MARCH 18: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, today chaired a meeting to review the progress of works being executed under the Vibrant Village Programme (VVP-II) in the district.
During the meeting, the DDC conducted a comprehensive review of ongoing developmental activities in the eight identified vibrant villages of Rajouri district. He emphasized the need for effective implementation of the programme to ensure holistic and sustainable development in these border villages.
The DDC directed the designated officers to regularly report the developmental progress in their respective vibrant villages, ensuring close monitoring and accountability. He also stressed the importance of data accuracy and directed for reconciliation of different indicators across departments to maintain consistency and reliability of records.
Further, he instructed all concerned officers to prepare and submit detailed profiles of each vibrant village, along with geo-tagged photographs, for timely uploading on the designated portal. He underscored that proper documentation would help in showcasing the progress achieved under the programme.
Highlighting the importance of connectivity, the DDC directed the Telecom Department to conduct a comprehensive survey of the identified villages to assess network coverage and identify gaps for necessary intervention.
Officers from various departments and sectoral agencies attended the meeting and apprised the chair of the progress achieved so far.
