PM IS OF COUNTRY

It is a big question that whether a state government can scuttle the security of the Prime Minister as many of the BJP leaders are claiming? If this is the case then what is the fun of security brigade which is always accompanying the PM Narendra Modi and the centre’s security edifice? As there was a security lapse which is undeniable, there is dire need to find out the reasons and also those who are behind this flaw but doing politics over the issue is not in the interest of the country because in doing this many of security protocols are being made public which is again a risky thing as far as security of VVIPs is concerned. In this context, one thing is sure that the country has not taken any lessons from the mistakes of the past and there is need to enhance security to level next as still there are big gaps as was witnessed on Wednesday in Punjab. The aftermath of the episode is a sad state of affair because both BJP and Congress leadership have started accusing each other over the issue to get political mileage as if this was the only thing which was important and the security of the PM is a secondary thing. The BJP has launched a scathing attack on the Congress over the breach in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security in Punjab, alleging it wanted to harm him as repeated defeats in elections have bamboozled the party. On the other hand, Congress is speaking contrary to BJP leadership and is in no mood to accept what is being alleged. One thing which both the parties are not understanding is the fact that the Prime Minister is not of a party but of the country and what is in the best interest of the country is the fact that every entity which has some role to play in the improving the security of PM should do it henceforth without wasting even a jiffy and as far as political parties are concerned there are hundreds of other issues which could be made plank for elections and political debates.
