CONGRESS CONFUSED

The way the Congress Party is showing the highest level of immaturity in dealing with its internal rifts and disagreements it seems that the future of this party is bleak as things are getting out of control with each passing day. The immaturity shown by the seasoned leader of this oldest party who is right now the Chief Spokesperson is quite enough to gauge that the party is in doldrums with discipline gone missing completely. The surprising statement by J&K Chief Spokesperson of Congress Ravinder Sharma against self-styled spokespersons of the party is the biggest joke because such things are supposed to be settled inside party offices and not in the media and on social media sites. Ravinder’s warning to the party’s self styled spokespersons of stern action shows the level of indiscipline in the party with senior leaders pleading for restraining the novice members of the party from giving irrelevant and detrimental statements. This is not enough; the helplessness of the Congress Party to tame its own leaders is so pathetic that the chief spokesperson has to make a fervent appeal to the media to stop entertaining every Tom, Dick and Harry in the party to give statements on the behalf of the party without the consent of the central leadership. The point to ponder is that why the chief spokesperson of the Congress and other spokespersons of the party have gone into hibernation giving chance to so-called self-styled spokespersons to spread fake narratives or share bogus content in the media. Another thing which is unclear is that why not the Chief Spokesperson has publicized the names of those who are giving misleading statements because this raises doubt whether the party still owns that stuff or is in mood to throw it out, though the chances of the latter choice are unlikely because the Congress at this time is weak and cannot afford to annoy any of its constituent despite the fact that the same is harming the party. It is pertinent to mention that Ravinder has said that no statement made by any such unauthorized person shall be owned by or attributed to the party therefore the media should not entertain any such person on behalf of the party.
