Div Com Jammu releases biography of T.R Gupta

JAMMU: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar and Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation Rahul Yadav on Sunday released biography of T.R Gupta, a leading Entrepreneur, in a function organized by Jammu Public Opinion Forum conceived by CA. R.K Gupta, Yash Pal Gupta, Rajendra Motial and Kailash K. Langar.
In his welcome address, R.K. Gupta stated that the forum shall also act as bridge between the administration & the public without any caste, creed, trade or industry, any federation or association, so that the opinion, suggestions, desires, thoughts of the public are placed at proper doors in a dignified way. Gupta also highlighted that for spending on CSR activities which is mandate for companies having profit more than Rs 5 crore, people of Jammu can contribute to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Charitable Society which is registered under Ministry of Corporate Affairs for undertaking CSR activities. This society is an vertical of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board created during Ramesh Kumar’s time when he was CEO there and the University, Super Speciality Hospital, Nursing College , Gurukul and Sports Complex are being run by this Society to meet cause of education, health care, rural sports including paralympics and Olympic sports.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu highlighted the role & contribution of T.R. Gupta for running his empire and contributing for the society, running free dispensary, donations & relief to poor, widows, orphans, not only for his community but for public at large.
Rahul Yadav also thanked the forum that such platforms give a room where one could hear the sentiments of public for further welfare of the society. He congratulated T R Gupta for floating T R Gupta Charitable Trust for the cause of poor. Citation about T.R. Gupta which was presented to him by the Forum was read by Dr. Nirmal Vinod. Rajendra Motial briefed about the biography of T.R. Gupta written by him that how a person from a small village living from hand to mouth has established himself as an entrepreneur and then turned out to be social activist and a guide for others to follow his foot prints. Yash Pal Gupta presented vote of thanks specially of Sunil Mahajan S/o Late Om Parkash Mahajan, who is the inspiration behind the book on the life of T.R. Gupta.
