SRINAGAR, Sept 14: Congress leader Saif-ud-din Soz today said the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is still not normal.
Soz was talking to media persons after his visit to the house of Deputy Superintendent of Police Himayun Muzamil Bhat who was killed in a gunfight along with two decorated Army officers on Wednesday in Anantnag district.
“Innocent blood is spilling on the land of Kashmir,”, Soz said and added, “The Government of Jammu and Kashmir and Centre should learn from this incident that the situation in Kashmir is still not normal.”
The former Union Minister claimed that it was all propaganda that the situation is normal in Kashmir.
“Come here to see how the rights of the people are being trampled,” he said. He said those who are holding guns and those who are getting killed did not know why they are being killed.
Soz said he prays to the almighty that India and Pakistan become good friends.
“India a big country and they should take the initiative to declare Pakistan their neighbour and Pakistan should reciprocate with a peaceful gesture”, Soz added.
The doors for the talks between the two countries should open so that all miseries will go away in the society, he said.
