JAMMU, Feb 12: Jammu City Ration Dealers’ Association today organized a protest demonstration in support of their demand of door step delivery of ration from FCI godown to fair price shops.
Scores of ration dealers from Jammu City today assembled at Maharaja Hari Singh Park under the leadership of Surinder Singh (president, Jammu City Ration Dealers’ Association) to project their demand. The ration dealers were raising slogans in support of their demand.
While speaking to media persons on the occasion, Surinder Singh said our Government has taken a very good decision of door step delivery of ration in Jammu. He said this decision has already been implemented in Kashmir where ration is being supplied to ration dealers directly from godown of Food Corporation of India (FCI).
Singh demanded that the same policy should be implemented in Jammu and the ration dealers of Jammu should also be supplied the ration directly from FCI godowns. He said if such a policy is implemented, neither the ration dealers nor the consumers will ever complaint of getting less ration.
