J&K Boxing C’ship concludes

JAMMU, Mar 31: J&K-UT Boxing Championship 2023-24 concluded at Indoor Sports Complex MA Stadium, here today.
Dr Harbakash Singh Chief Medical Officer was the chief guest on the concluding event whereas Rajeev Sharma Member Sports Council was the Guest of Honour. Banu Partap Singh, Asian Wushu medalist was also present there to motivate the boxers for adopting sports as a profession.
Above said championship assisted the association for smooth conduct of the championship including Shree Anil Wadhera, Senior Coach, Sandeep Singh Chib National Qualified Referee, Sajad Ahmed National Qualified Referee, Rajesh Dogra, Sanjeev Singh Jamwal, Aman Sangral, Goutam Sharma,Naresh Kumar, Avinash Kumar,Sunny, Farooq Ahmed Khan and Rahul Kumar.
Some of the results in Sub Junior (Girls) were Saima Bano of Bandipura won gold medal, Sachi of Jammu won gold in Junior girls (44-46 kg), Pooja Devi of Udhampur won gold in Junior (Girls) 46-48 kg, Mantasha Jan of Jammu won gold in Youth (Women) 48-50 KG, Elite gold was won by Samta Devi of Ramban in 48-50 kg. In Sub Junior boys Rohit Kumar of Kathua won gold in 37-40 kg, Kameshwar Sharma of Jammu won gold in 40-43 kg; Aditya Thakur of Udhampur won gold in 43-46 kg.
