Kargil commemorates Hazrat Imam Ali’s martyrdom amidst tight security

KARGIL, Apr 1: The martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Imam Ali (A.S) was observed here today amidst a poignant ceremony that united communities in reflection and solidarity.
Under the watchful eye of security personnel, mourners from neighbouring villages convened in Kargil town under the banners of Jamiyat Ullama Isna Ashriya Kargil and IKMT Kargil. The procession, marked by fervent chants and rhythmic chest-beating, traversed through the bustling main bazaar, echoing with solemnity.
In a symbolic culmination, the procession reached Inqilab Manzil Kargil and Hussaini Park Kargil, where speakers shed light on Hazrat Imam Ali’s teachings, advocating for adherence to the true essence of Islam for global peace and harmony.
Before the ceremony, the district administration orchestrated meticulous arrangements, ensuring not only security but also providing medical camps and other essential facilities to cater to the needs of attendees.
Amidst prayers and ‘Aamals’ conducted in mosques and Imam Barghas throughout the district, the collective plea for peace and communal unity resonated, extending beyond regional boundaries to encompass prayers for Palestine and the global community.
