STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Highlighting various grievances being face by people, Corporator Ward-48 Bahu Fort, Sham Lal Basson submitted a memorandum of demands to LG Manoj Sinha, through Divisional Commissioner, Jammu on Saturday. Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta, Deputy Mayor Adv Purnima Sharma, Chairmen JMC Committees Yash Pal, Kuldeep Singh, Corporators Shama Akhtar, Sharda Devi, Narotam Sharma and Jagdish Raj Sharma were also present on the occasion. The major demands highlighted in memorandum included immediate replacement of damaged PHE pipes to ensure adequate and quality water supply to people, upgradation of sports ground of Govt Higher Secondary School Bahu Fort Jammu to Mini Stadium to attract youth of area towards sports and other physical activities besides keeping them away from menace of drugs, reconstruction of Poonch Basti & Rajeev Nagar Nallahs as recent floods damaged 10 houses in Rajeev Nagar, constitution of Shrine Board for upkeep of Historic Mahakali Mata temple on pattern of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, shifting of tehsil headquarters to Bahu Fort etc. He urged LG to look into the highlighted issues and instruct concerned authorities for initiating necessary measures to resolve the same for welfare of people of Bahu Fort, Jammu.
