DFSS protests discrimination with Jammu region

JAMMU: Demanding uniform disbursement of salaries, both in Srinagar and Jammu, the workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena (DFSS), led by their President Ashok Gupta took out a protest rally in Jammu city on Saturday against discrimination with Jammu region in disbursement of salaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta said that in Fisheries Department 403 daily wagers were given salary in Kashmir valley while only 40 daily wagers were given salary in Jammu. He further alleged that new Director of Fisheries Department is a non-technical person and has no idea about working of the Department. “New Director is an anti-Jammu person, who is stated to openly claim that people from Jammu would not be welcomed in any manner and same is visible by disbursement of salaries,” he further alleged.
Gupta appealed to the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to fulfill his promise of providing equal and fair opportunities to both regions by directing the concerned to release salaries of daily-wagers at the earliest. Others present in the protest included Abhishek, Bantu, Fauji, Kalu, Naresh, Pradhan, Gurutej and Prem.
