STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: J&K Govt Employees Joint Action Committee (JKGEJAC), led by Babu Hussain Malik, President J&K UT along with Yashpal Sharma, Meenakshi Sharma, Munish Sharma, Arun Kumar Sharma, Sham Singh, Lekh Raj Sharma, Naresh Sharma, S.R. Rathore, Arjun Dass, Neeraj Sharma, Naresh Kumar, Vikas Chander, Sham Lai, Rakesh Singh, Mohd Arif, Rakesh Singh, Vikas Sharma, Madan Lai, Ashok Singh, Sanjeev Singh, Hafiz-ul-Rehman, Angurana, Shabir Ahmad, Parshotam, Ansuyia Gupta, Yashpal, Rohit George, Vijay Kumar, Kamla Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Mohd Sadiq & Presidents of different Departments Union held an emergency meeting, to welcome Govt’s decision to release 11 per cent DA in favour of Government employees and pensioners. The participants further urged the Government for releasing increased DA in favour of J&K employees before Ed-ul-Azha. They also demanded pending arrears of DA as inflation is at its peak and employees are facing huge problems. Other issues discussed in the meeting included removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre, increase in Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000, providing benefits to employees of Union Territory of J&K as par with other UTs, regularisation of daily wagers, casual labourers, contractual, ASHA workers, NRHM employees, Home-guards and all other temporary employees, implementing Minimum Wages Act etc.
