JAMMU: IIM Jammu will be hosting its first Online International Conference on “Sustainable Finance, Economics & Accounting in the Pre- and Post- Pandemic Era” on July 30-31, 2021.
The two-day conference would be done jointly in association with the University of Bradford School of Management, United Kingdom. The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) and The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) are also the Partnering professional bodies associated with the Conference. The theme of the Conference was chosen keeping in view the deficiencies of our current economic development model, which is increasingly becoming unsustainable.
The Conference will be inaugurated by Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director IIM Jammu on July 30, 2021. The keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Prof. Brian Lucey, Editor in Chief, International Review of Financial Analysis and Professor of Finance, Trinity Business School, Republic of Ireland.
The other invited speakers on Day 1 & 2 are Prof. Paresh Kumar Narayan, Editor-in-Chief, Emerging Markets, Finance & Trade; Ameer Sameer Khan, Director – Fixed Income Sales Division, Bank of America, London; Prof. Sabur Mollah, Professor of Financial Management, University of Sheffield, UK; Prof Douglas Cumming, Joint Editor in Chief, British Journal of Management; Dr. Mia Mikic, Advisor at Large & ARTNeT Visiting Fellow; CS Devendra V Deshpande, Vice-President, ICSI, India; Professor Bruce Hearn, Professor of Accounting and Finance, School of Management, University of Bradford, UK; Professor Hisham Farag, Professor of Finance, University of Birmingham.
Talking about the Conference, Prof. Manoj Kumar, Chair of the Conference, mentioned that 118 research papers have been selected from the submitted papers for presentation through a rigorous peer-review process.
He also apprised that the two best papers will be requisitely awarded.
