JAMMU: High alert has been sounded in the Jammu City and its surrounding areas as two suspects in Army uniform managed to flee from the Jammu Railway Station area when Army men approached them for inquiry on suspicion.
Police said, the duo was spotted at Mangal Market near the Railway station in Jammu.
They said that around 3:00 PM, two persons entered into a barber shop in the Mangal Market. Suspicious of their appearance, an army personnel present at the shop, asked them to show their identity cards. On this, the duo fled from the shop in panic.
A manhunt has been launched in Jammu and its peripheries to nab the duo.
Police Nakas in Jammu City have been strengthened while the security agencies are keeping a close track on movements in the area. Security at the vital installation has been increased as a precautionary measure.
