STATE TIMES NEWS Banihal/Jammu: Two men, facing charges in connection with alleged abduction and rape of a minor girl, were arrested after months of hunt from their village in Anantnag, police said on Saturday. The absconders namely Javed Ahmed Wagay, son of Gul Mohd Wagay and Mohd Yousuf Wagay, son of Sona Wagay, both residents of Larkipora, Anantnag were nabbed from Larkipora with assistance of Anantnag police. The duo has been arrested by team of Police Station Gool, who were wanted in FIR No 26/2021 under sections 363, 343, 376 of IPC and 3, 4, 16, 17 of POCSO registered at Police Station Gool, and were evading arrest for a long time after committing the crime. Both the absconders were presented before the Court at Ramban, who were sent to judicial custody at District Jail Udhampur. The arrest was made by party from Police Station Gool headed by PSI Rayees under supervision of SHO Gool Insp Muneer Ahmed and SDPO Gool Pardeep Kumar.
