UDHAMPUR: As a part of week-long celebration ahead of 75th Independence Day celebration, Volleyball Association of Udhampur in collaboration with J&K Sports Council under the aegis of Volleyball Association of Jammu & Kashmir organised an exhibition match at Mini Stadium complex, here on Saturday.
The match played between City Volleyball Club and Udhampur Volleyball Club.
In this game, City Club made it a 3-0 win with scorecard reading 25-16, 25-15, 25-16. The match was officiated by Naveen Sharma, Kuldeep Sharma, Manik Nargotra and Sanjeev Verma.
Earlier, District President, Raj Guru introduced both the teams with visiting guest, Additional SP, Anwar-Ul-Haq, who was Chief Guest of the special game. Manager J&K Sports Council, Naveen Sharma was Special Guest.
Earlier, Senior Vice President of the Association, Roshan Kumar briefed the visiting guests about the activities.
Matches were officiated by Naveen Sharma, Kuldeep Sharma, Manik Nargotra and Sanjeev Verma.
Prominent among who are present on the occasion were Sumer Kajuria, Sunil Kumar Gupta, Rajeshwar Kumar Gupta, Prem Sharma, Pankaj Jindal, Rajesh Malguria, Naveen Sharma, Ranbir Singh, Ashok Dogra, Angrej Singh and Balbir Singh.
BISHNAH: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Anshul Garg and Sub-Divisional Magistrate South, Abhishak Abrol, the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Zone Bishnah on Saturday organised volleyball match at Panchayat Sehora in connection with ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’.
The match was held under the Supervision of DYSSO Jammu Sukhdev Raj Sharma and ZEPO Bishnah, Surbjeet Kour in the presence of Samuli Devi Sarpanch Sehora A and Panch Raman Kumar.
The officials present during the match were Arjun Singh Jamwal, Ruhil Sadotra and Arunpreet Singh. All the SOPs regarding Covid-19 Pandemic have been followed during the competitions.
KATHUA: On the directions of Sports Council, District Kathua Volleyball Association on Saturday organised exhibition volleyball match at volleyball grounds, Shaheed Samadhian, Hiranagar.
The match was played between Volleyball Club Gurah Mundian and Shaktipunj Volleyball Club Hiranagar.
SDM Hiranagar, Rakesh Sharma was the Chief Guest while Advocate Vijay Sharma, Chairman Municipal Committee Hiranagar and Ram Lal Kalia Chairman BDC Hiranagar were the Guests of Honours.
SHO Hiranagar, Anil Sharma and Swami Krishnanand Maharaj of Jasmergarh Qila Mata Mandir were special invitees.
Exhibition match was won by Shaktipunj Volleyball Club by 3-2.
Prominent persons present were M.L Toofan President District Volleyball Association Kathua, Mohinder Sharma General Secretary, Madan Lal Coach, Ram Lal, Kamal Sharma, Kuljeet Singh President Shaktipunj NGO, Lukhinder Singh General Secretary, Treasurer Rampaul Sharma, Rakesh Sharma, Dharmvir Singh, Shanti Swaroop, Gian Singh, O.D Attri, Romesh Kundal and Kartar Verma.
Both the teams were given cash prize of Rs 1,100 each.
SAMBA: An exhibition volleyball match between Samba Warriors and Raya Volleyball Club was organised by Volleyball Association of District Samba to celebrate India’s 75th Independence Day at village Tarlokpur.
The event took place under the aegis of Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir and supported by J&K Sports Council.
The competition held under the overall supervision of District Secretary, Balbinder Singh.
Prominent among others present were Panch, Varinder Singh, senior player, Jyoti Sharma and Sat Pal Sharma.
