SRINAGAR, Sept 3: Girls brought laurels to Kupwara district by clinching Gold medal in under-14 category in 13th Inter-district Rugby 7’s Championship-2021 held at SK Stadium Bandipora from August 30 to September 1.
The Kupwara Rugby Association fielded four teams in the championship. All the men teams including Senior Men, Under-20, Under-14 also made the District proud wherein all three men’s teams won Bronze medal.
The head coach and secretary of Kupwara Rugby Association, Aadil Manzoor had trained the teams for this championship. It is pertinent to mention here that on August 29, the Army officials had met all the players and had promised to support the sport in terms of sustained training with better gears.
