STATE TIMES NEWS POONCH: Police on Tuesday solved a case related to mysterious death of a chemist in Poonch district, with arrest of his wife, her paramour and her brother. Police said that a team headed by SHO Gursai Insp Niaz Ahmed under the supervision of Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Mendhar, DySP Zaheer Jafri started investigation of incident that took place on October 2, when a man identified as Tahir Mahmood (38), son of Mohammad Sadeeq, resident of Dhargaloon was found dead inside his house and as his death occurred in mysterious conditions, an inquest proceeding under Section 174 of CrPC was initiated at police station Gursai. During investigation some vital clues were developed, on basis of which, the proceedings in FIR 115/2021 were converted from Section 174 of CrPC to Sections 306, 111 and 34 of IPC. In the case, wife of deceased, identified as Zaib-ul-Nisa and her paramour Mohammad Iqbal, son of Mohammad Ishaq were arrested. Due to extra martial affair of wife and situation thereof, the deceased committed suicide and both accused have been charged in abetment to suicide and other offences, police official said.
