3-day programme in memory of unsung warriors of freedom struggle begins at GDC Jindrah

Jindrah: The NSS unit of Government Degree College (GDC), Jindrah in collaboration with EBSB club initiated three day long program to pay tribute to unsung heroes of freedom struggle under the banner of “Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.
The program was initiated under the theme “Zara Yaad Unhein bhi Kar lo” where in the tales of the unsung heroes of freedom struggle will be told by the volunteers on each day. The motive behind the program is to aware students about the unsung heroes of freedom struggle who very actively participated in the freedom movement but somehow their stories remains wrapped under the time.
The whole programme was initiated under the supervision of Dr. Sunil Sharma, Programme officer, NSS Unit of GDC Jindrah and Dr. Seema, Librarian and member of NSS team compiled and reported the program.
Prof. Rajshree Dhar, Principal, GDC, Jindrah initiated the program while applauding the efforts of the NSS team and Volunteers.
The NSS volunteers along with the Principal and staff initated the program in the college premises. A total of five speakers viz., Priya Jamwal, Diksha Jamwal, Jung Bahadur Khan, Manisha Devi, and pallavi Devi spoke on the ocassion today. The tales of Kumari Maina, Dada Bhai Naroji, Madan Lal Dhingra, Ram Singh Kuka and Birsa Munda were covered today by the speakers. The staff and students very patiently heard the stories and were enlightened about the struggles faced by these unknown freedom fighters.
