UDHAMPUR: Government Degree College Neeli Nallah, Udhampur on Saturday organised a National Online Faculty Development Programme in Collaboration with Pandit Dean Dayal Energy University, Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat on “Strategies for Scientific Research Publications”. The event was held under the Patronage of Prof. (Dr.) Satinder Kaur, Principal, GDC Neeli Nallah. The programme was started with a formal welcome, to the resource persons of the event- Prof. (Dr.) Syed Shahabuddin and Prof. (Dr.) Rama Gaur from Department of Chemistry from reputed University, PDEU, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, by Prof. Shaista Yasmeen.
Further, first speaker of the event. Prof. Syed Shahabuddin, initiated his lecture through a power point presentation about importance of academic writing and to mentor participants in preparing research findings for publication in an International journal. He also offered an opportunity for students and researchers to make them aware with the main content of research publication such as abstract writing, introduction, collection of material, research methods, results and conclusions.
Prof. Rama Gaur, second speaker of the event, focused on Article writing. She elaborated the participants about how to build up the article before submission, how to choose the right journal, how to submit a paper/article and how to reply to the reviewer’s comments. The concluding remarks of the programme was carried by Prof. Satinder Kaur, Principal. Prof. Satinder Kaur who emphasized on research at undergraduate level as effective teaching is the backbone for overall development of the students, faculty and nation as a whole. Prof. Shaista Yasmeen was the convener of the programme. The organizers of the programme were Prof. Swati Dutt and Dr. Radha Rani.
