Samba: Under the guidance of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, Vijaypur police on Saturday worked out yet another theft case with arrest of a thief and recovered stolen items worth Rs 70,000 approximately.
As per the details, On February 07, 2023, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Vijaypur by one Shivam Vaid, son of Guru Asra Mal, resident of Vijaypur regarding theft of a parcel containing 38 costly lady suits from outside of his shop ‘Vishal Proprietor’ at main market Vijaypur. On the complaint, FIR 21/2023 under sections 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation was started to work out the said theft case.
During the course of investigation, a team of Police Station Vijaypur comprising of SHO Vijaypur Tribhawan Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur Priyanka Kumari and Addl. SP Samba Surinder Choudhary arrested thief identified as Love Kumar, son of Kanchand, resident of GurdaspurTibber (Punjab) at present staying at W.No.9 Vijaypur. During sustained interrogation the arrested thief confessed his involvement in the above mentioned theft case and on his disclosure all the stolen 38 numbers of lady suits costing seventy thousand (approximately) have been recovered from the different persons whom he had sold the stolen suits. Further investigation is going on.
This is the thirty third thief arrested and 15th theft cases solved by Samba police within a short span of one month after launching intensive drive against thieves in Samba district on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police, Benam Tosh.
