MIRAN SAHIB: Police on Saturday arrested a woman for preparing/selling illicit liquor. As per details, an information received in Police Station Miran Sahib through reliable source that one woman namely Mandeep Kour, wife of Swaran Singh, resident of Khour, Miran Sahib is preparing / selling illicit Liquor without any legal permission. On this, a party of Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Miran Sahib Insp Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SDPO R S Pura Surinder Singh raided village Khour and seized 7 lts desi illicit liquor and destroyed approximately 200 to 250 liters of Lahan. Accused woman was arrested and FIR 36/2023 under sections 48 (E), 48 (F) of Excise Act was registered against her in Police Station Miran Sahib.
