Poonch, Nov 3: An Army jawan was injured in an accidental fire incident in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.
Official sources said that the soldier, identified as Naik Amarjeet of 7 JAT Regiment, sustained critical injuries during the accidental firing.
He was immediately evacuated to a nearby medical facility, where despite efforts by doctors, he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile cognizance has been taken and further investigation initiated. (KNC)
