DODA, Nov 2: Police here today successfully solved a theft case within hours of its reporting and recovered the stolen property worth about Rs. 1.5 lakh.
A written complaint was received at Police Post DH Doda yesterday from Bashir Ahmed, son of Morad, resident of Akramabad, stating that certain items were stolen from his residence on the night of October 31, 2025.
Police took cognizance of the matter and registered a case in FIR No. 249/2025 U/S 305/329 BNS.
On the directions of SSP Doda Sandeep Mehta, a special team was constituted which was led by IC Police Post DH Doda, under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda and SHO Police Station Doda.
After investigation, the team succeeded in tracing the accused Sohrab Hussain, son of Mohd Sharif, resident of Akramabad and on his disclosure, stolen property including 3 Dumper Rims and Dumper Clutch Plates, valued at about Rs. 1.5 lakh, was recovered.
