Bovines smuggling bid foiled

KATHUA, Aug 28: Lakhanpur Police foiled bovines smuggling bid.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Lakhanpur led by SHO Inspector Sumeet Sharma under the supervision of DySP DAR Kathua Sukhdev Singh and SSP Kathua RC Kotwal laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number PB11CF-8897.
During checking, police team rescued 18 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who was identified as Onkar Singh alias Sonu, son of Mangal Singh, a resident of Mahanian Koharan Amritsar Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 95/2021 under Sections 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Lakhanpur and investigation started.
